If you are an adult in Ontario or Alberta looking for online or virtual therapy (also known as teletherapy) services to help you cope with mental health issues and life challenges, then Meaningful Independence therapy services may be a good fit for you.

Through therapy, you will learn that you have the inner strength, resilience, and ability to make meaningful changes in your life.

In our work together, the goal is for you to increase your self-awareness, figure out your goals, and take action towards improving your life. It would be an honour to work alongside you on your mental health journey.

I am a Masters-level Registered Social Worker with the Ontario College of Social Workers and the Ontario Association of Social Workers.

I am also registered as a Certified Solution Focused Therapist (CSFT) with the Canadian Council of Professional Certification (CCPC) Global Inc.

I have been practicing as a Social Worker since 2009. Previously, I worked in social services and in health care at pediatric and adult rehabilitation hospitals and now work full-time as an online therapist providing therapy to adults in Ontario and Alberta.

I am a second-generation Canadian, born to immigrant parents from Guyana and my heritage is from India. I feel that, based on my own background, I have an in-depth understanding of the types of issues faced by those who identify as South Asian and BIPOC in terms of how family, cultural, and societal expectations can factor into our thoughts, feelings, and behaviours as well as our relationship dynamics. Through our work together, we can process your past experiences so that you can figure out your needs, learn how to prioritize yourself, and achieve more peace in your life.
