Welcome!

If you are an adult in Ontario or Alberta looking for online or virtual therapy (also known as teletherapy) services to help you cope with mental health issues and life challenges, then Meaningful Independence therapy services may be a good fit for you.

Through therapy, you will learn that you have the inner strength, resilience, and ability to make meaningful changes in your life.

In our work together, the goal is for you to increase your self-awareness, understand yourself better, figure out your goals, and take action towards improving your life. It would be an honour to work alongside you on your mental health journey.

 

How can Meaningful Independence therapy services help me?

Meaningful Independence offers virtual or online therapy across Ontario and Alberta and focuses on supporting adults affected by:

  • anxiety

  • life transitions

  • stress/burnout

  • self-esteem

  • grief/loss

  • relationship issues

  • disability, injury, chronic illness

  • cultural/racial identity issues for BIPOC-identifying individuals 

 

Davina is a Masters-level Registered Social Worker with the Ontario College of Social Workers and the Ontario Association of Social Workers. She is also registered as a Certified Solution Focused Therapist (CSFT) with the Canadian Council of Professional Certification (CCPC) Global Inc. 

 

Davina has been practicing as a Social Worker since 2009. She worked in social services and in health care at pediatric and adult rehabilitation hospitals and now works full-time as an online therapist providing individual therapy to adults in Ontario and Alberta. 

 

Online Therapy for Adults in Ontario and Alberta 

Individual counselling services are provided by phone or video for adults across all of Ontario (Toronto, Ottawa, Brampton, Mississauga, Hamilton, London, etc.) and Alberta (Calgary, Edmonton, Red Deer, Lethbridge, St. Albert, etc.).

Teletherapy could be a good fit if you have:

  • a preference for virtual appointments

  • a busy schedule 

  • transportation issues

  • mobility restrictions 

  • concerns about being seen in a therapy office

  • access issues if you are in a remote city or town in Ontario or Alberta
