If you are an adult in Ontario or Alberta looking for online therapy to help you cope with mental health issues and life challenges, then Meaningful Independence therapy services may be a good fit for you.
Through therapy, you will learn that you have the inner strength, resilience, and ability to make meaningful changes in your life.
In our work together, the goal is for you to increase your self-awareness, figure out your goals, and take action toward improving your life. It would be an honour to work alongside you on your mental health journey.
I am a Masters-level Registered Social Worker with the Ontario College of Social Workers and the Ontario Association of Social Workers. I am also registered as a Certified Solution Focused Therapist (CSFT) with the Canadian Council of Professional Certification (CCPC) Global Inc.
The main therapy modalities I draw on are:
solution focused therapy
cognitive behavioural therapy
acceptance and commitment therapy
As a practicing Social Worker since 2009, I previously worked in social services and then in health care at pediatric and adult rehabilitation hospitals. Now, I work full-time as an online therapist providing therapy to adults in Ontario and Alberta.
One of my specialties is supporting South Asian and BIPOC-identifying individuals in terms of how family, cultural, and societal expectations can factor into your thoughts, feelings, behaviours, and relationship dynamics.
In addition to working with clients through a culturally sensitive lens, I also support adults with a broad range of mental health needs. More information can be found on the Services subpage.
Through our work together, we can process your experiences so that you can figure out your needs, learn how to prioritize yourself, and achieve more peace and a feeling of control over your life.
